NEW RELEASE TIME!
That’s right everyone! We’re introducing C. E. Linares and her debut story: Valkys of the Greater Wilds. The journey of a Gracadia Univesel researcher, Avilee of Worfaren, through the undiscovered world of Nevold. Set about 100 hundred years prior to M. R. Moraine’s first novel Nevertold: The Son - and begins east of the civilized cites of the Elphire. Avilee gives a firsthand account of the course of this journey, taking great care to understand what, or who, she finds along the way.
Set to release September 21st, 2024, this Journal is a collaboration project between author C. E. Linares and, the original author of the Nevertold series, M. R. Moraine. The first of many collaboration projects set place in the world of Nevold.
Now, a quick sneak peak of the blurb on the back.
Now I understand that of all the creatures of Nevold, there are none in these lands that are as resilient, beautiful, and unique as those creatures in the category of Valkys. But even with their innate Alteric energies, there is still a Child of Man that is far more spectacular. One whom I have had the privilege of calling my friend, even if that feeling may be one-sided.
When I was commissioned to venture forth and assist Avilee of Worfaren to discover as many Valkys as possible, I never knew the adventure I would embark on. And through it, not only did I better understand other creatures’ grander place in the world, but also our own.
Her original journals are safe within her possession, and from it I will generate a truncated version that will exclude the information that is too sacred to be shared at this time. One that I pray will appease the Gracadia Univesel. Maybe in the future I can pass down the knowledge to someone I can trust, but for how I will honor the request of my wayward colleague.

C. E. Linares
C. E. Linares is an emerging author who is a lifelong lover of fantasy and sci-fi stories. Originally from Upstate New York, she now calls Minnesota home, where she lives with her husband and two beloved cats. Linares brings her passion for character-driven tales to the world of Nevold while also exploring her own original science fantasy series on the side. All in hopes of bringing her readers along to see more worlds full of wonder and adventure.
You’ll have an opportunity to meet her yourself. She’ll be with M. R. Moraine at MadEx on September 14th, but be aware that we might not have copied of Valkys of the Greater Wilds by then. You’ll be just as surprised as us if we have some to share! We plan to debut at the MN Ren Fest on Sept. 21st.
Speaking of Ren Fest… we’ll be sporting a new look when you see us. Let’s call it a glow up.
