Hiding under blankets during these cold winter months doesn’t mean we at Lovely Woods aren’t hard at work! In fact, we have quite a few exciting projects lined up. Some we can share, others we can only hint at, and a few are so top secret that even our authors might not know about them yet. Either way, we keep finding wonderful things to fill our year, and we can’t wait to bring them to life!

Many Works in the…well, WORKS!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been invited to be part of a Midwest Fantasy Anthology run by the ever-talented Justin Rose! M.R. Moraine and C.E. Linares will be contributing a diverging storyline from Valkys of the Greater Wilds, featuring one of the crew members from Avilee’s expedition. Who that might be remains a surprise, but rest assured, they’ll be embarking on an adventure of their own, one that will undoubtedly lead to another great story in the future.

If you’re craving more fantasy—especially Science Fantasy—C.E. Linares is hard at work on her debut series, The Conquering Chronicles. She assures us that the first book, The Great Defender, is well on its way to having its first draft completed, and our editors are eager to get their hands on it. Here’s a quick summary:

Eliakai Berianadian, a reluctant Defender from Evereth, braves an inner planetary journey to Alarania in hopes of becoming a Keeper, only to face a catastrophic singularity that unleashes corrosive beasts and forces him to decide between instincts and orders to mend the Balance.

Meanwhile, M.R. Moraine has recently completed the first draft of The Righteous Warrior, a supplemental book tied to the upcoming third installment of the Nevertold series. This is the very same book referenced in the first two Nevertold books, one that the new main character holds dear and closely follows. Keep an eye out for its release in the coming months!
